A recreation of the original Monster Meeting miners flag raised in 1851 at Forest Creek. The Forest Creek monster meeting was a organised protest at Forest Creek Victoria against a planned increase in the fees for the miners licence by the colonial government of Victoria .The event was bigger than the famous Eureka Stockade event in 1854 as a estimated 14,000 miners or diggers as they called themselves protested at Forest Creek.
